Grades 3rd-8th
Founded in 2020 by CEO Nicole Hartley, 2nd Street Learning was built on a simple but powerful belief:
Students learn best when they are engaged in real-world projects and empowered to lead within their communities.
Our innovative program partners with virtual learners in public schools and personalizes each student’s journey through a blend of project-based and place-based learning. By connecting academics to meaningful, local experiences, students strengthen their critical thinking, grow as leaders, and discover how their voice can make a real impact.
At 2nd Street, learning isn’t limited to screens or classrooms; it happens in neighborhoods, businesses, and the world around us!
Grades 9-12
Built on the success of the Lansing Learning Hub launched in 2022, the Flint Learning Hub serves students in grades 9-12 with a flexible, empowering, and future-focused approach to education.
We know that no two virtual learners are alike. That is why we have created a tri-brid learning experience—blending:
- Virtual instruction
- In-person support
- Community-based learning opportunities
This model is designed to adapt to each learner’s unique needs, interests, and goals.
At 2nd Street Learning, students do not have to fit into a traditional mold; they get to design their own path. Whether you are passionate about the arts, STEM, entrepreneurship, or something in between, our program gives you the tools, flexibility, and support to bring your vision to life.
We are not just a learning hub, we are a launchpad. Our mission is to support each learner’s personal goals, helping them develop confidence, skills, and a sense of purpose that lasts well beyond high school.
